News – Our best and worst shoots this past month.
Ryu shot 3 football matches in Germany and didn’t like golf that much whilst Syd dabbled with travel photography.
We introduce… Matt Cohen
Ryu interviews Matt, a sports photographer from Oakland, California, USA.

It’s the start of the soccer (or football) season in Europe. We discuss about how to get images of the goalie as well as the strikers in soccer (or football). Here are couple of Syd’s goalies doing their thing:

GAS of the month
This month, Syd’s GAS is a free piece of software for iPhone4 that allows you to make a GPS track log so you can add the GPS coordinates for each photograph. Some cameras do this automatically and camera phones like the Apple iPhone automatically tag each photo with the GPS. But if you have a camera that doesn’t you can use a GPS with logging software to achieve the same result. While there are hardware devices you can buy, like the Nikon GP1, if you have an iPhone you can use some free software to create the track and depending on what software you use on your computer to manage your photos, add the GPS information to your images. Links to software mentioned in podcast:
- myTracks for iPhone is a free app that will generate a GPS track
- Jeffrey’s “GPS-Support” Geoencoding Plugin for Lightroom will allow you to automatically geoencode your images with the GPS track make with myTracks
- Other Mac software to geoencode images with a GPS track: HoudahGeo, GPS Visualizer is a web site that allows you to see your track on Google maps, Google maps, iPhoto, iPad and Aperture can utilise the information.

Didnt forget my camera or any of my gear, but forgot something else, to set the auto focus to AI-SERVO!!!.Its a miracle I got away with it and got like 20 keepers.First time on the field, I was very nervous :(
